Why SCH4U feels so hard (and the 3 units behind most lost marks)


Equilibrium is the reigning champion of SCH4U grief. ICE tables demand that you set up a problem, track changes algebraically, and interpret an equilibrium constant: three skills stacked, any of which can topple the answer. Students who can recite Le Châtelier still freeze on the calculation, because reciting and applying are different abilities.


Organic chemistry is the second wall: not conceptually hard, but volume-heavy. Functional groups, naming rules and reaction types pile up fast, and the exam tests recall you can't cram the night before.
